DuraHold: Design Ideas
This is a unique situation where the architect needed to design an elevated area on which to construct some temporary classrooms while the new school was being constructed. The 1700 lb. Dura-Hold units were used as a retaining wall and the engineering was designed that once the portable classrooms were removed, a parking lot could be constructed on the area above the wall.

The large size of Dura-Hold makes it an excellent choice for demanding structures up to 25 ft. (7.62 m.). Proper engineering and a good selection of components make this an exceptional wall system. It’s a great alternative to “poured in place” concrete.
